There are so many ways to view artwork:

(Gunnel Wåhlstrand Born 1974 “Looking at Paintings”. (d))

1.) through solitary appreciation

2.) by turning your back to it (and just being within its presence, maybe?)

3.) being overwhelmed and in awe

4.) running past it, hand-in-hand of course

5.) being pretentious in analyzing it (showing off what you recall of Visual Culture 1100, maybe even 1200 if you’re lucky)
6.) making fun of it (especially when you fail to understand it, pft!)

Today will consist of museum adventures with two of my favorite people, my baby brother and baby niece. I’ve a feeling the greater portions of the museums will be alternately experienced by #4 and #6– which makes these two the perfect gallery companions.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.
